hi Jairam!
I am a certified Manileño! I read the list and has been to ALL of them. I was born and lived in manila until I was in my early 20s.
Your list made me nostalgic about this city.
btw, you're a fellow kulasa pala.
Is St. Scho now St. Scho Academy? wasn't it a college? I am referring to the one in Leon Guinto.
Posted by duke | 6/25/2006 02:41:00 AM
Hi Duke, wow Kulasa ka din pala. Oops sorry about the academy thing. I came from St. Scho Academy in Pampanga, so nakiki- Alma Matter lang ako. But I remained a kulasa at heart until college days :)

WOW...I guess there is a lot to do in the Phillipines. I've always wanted to go and visit since I'm like 1/4 Phillipino (is that even how you spell it?) but so far, that's like a whole other lifetime away...
And I think you should totally turn all the places into links, so people from far away and can click and learn!
Posted by David Tellez | 6/25/2006 04:11:00 AM
Is that so D.T.? It's spelled this way - Filipino :)
YOu can click on the link, the keyword is here of the first paragraph.

Nagtrabaho ako sa manila(south harbor) ng ilan taon din yun.

I have lived in Manila for quite a while pero ang dami ko pa rin palang hindi narating.
When I was still in Cavite, June 24 is Araw ni San Juan. We had to watch out dahil bubuhusan ka ng tubig nga mga tao. I wonder if they still do this.

It's been ages since I was in Manila. I didn't got to see much when I was there, though. College, starvation, and utter lack of money para kahit nalang pamasahe. It's hard being a promdi in the city. ^___^
