Flashback On Thailand

A friend from Thailand sent me this delicious tamarind preserve a few days ago and I have been eating since yesterday. It makes me recall the beautiful experience I had in their homeland three months ago...

Great things about Thailand :

  • hospitable Thai people
  • rich culture and traditions
  • beautiful temples; Grand Palace, Bangkok Wat Po (Temple of the Reclining Buddha), Wat Phra Kaeo (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), Wat Suthat and the Giant Swing
  • spirit houses ( It is Thai belief that they need to allocate a place where the spirits can live, otherwise, the spirits will dwell in their homes or buildings and this will cause troubles to the "living".)
  • Sanam Luang Park and Chatuchak Park
  • Siam Ocean World Bangkok
  • elephant shows and snake farm
  • Chao Phraya River
  • National Museum
  • Floating Market
  • Pak Khlong Talat Market along Chao Phraya River
  • cheap bargains at Chatuchak Weekend Market
  • Patpong Night Market along Silom Road and Suan Lum Night Bazaar
  • the great Siam Paragon Mall also known as the Pride of Bangkok in Siam Square
  • MBK mall
  • Central World Plaza
  • Panthip Plaza (for IT stuffs) in Petchburi Road near Amari Watergate Hotel
  • Bai Yoke and Pratunam Market
  • China Town down Sampeng Lane
  • Skytrain
  • Tuktuk
  • delicious fruits and Thai street food
  • Thai massage
  • super clean wet market and public restrooms

There's so much more to explore in Ratcha Anachak Thai, our four-day visit wasn't enough to go around Bangkok alone. Or conceivably it was the shopping extravaganza (because everything was inexpensive) that constrained our time to tour the city. Wink.

I enjoyed my Thailand trip though (everyone does, I think)I could have stayed forever in Chatuchak, such finds. And ur right, super clean ang markets nila. You should try going to Ayutthaya next time:) - ajay

yeah, too bad I wasn't able to visit the place. oh well, there's always a next time ;)

so u went o pat pong... hmmm kita mo yung banana-eating vagina? hahahaha

ikaw talaga yurs, naughty kid, he he. natutuwa ako sa mga comments mo. anu na ang meaning ng tukneneng? sorry, innocente ang lola mo ;)

whoa, seems like you're quite the globe-trotter.

ngayon ko lang nakita yung tag mo. waaa! will get to it soon, promise ;)

hey bambi konti lang travels ko ;) will check your list later ha.

Been to Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, Chiangmai and Chiangrai so many times that I must agree, always something to, always something to eat, always a friendly smile :P

I love Thailand!

The only thing I remember about Thailand is Pattaya. Oh and the world famous 'Thai Massage' mwehehehe... :-D

You're so lucky to travel there. My best friend in high school was Thai and she bought me an ivory tusk pendant one year when she went back for summer. Great photos!

sarap ng massage no sngl?

yes ms purple, im always thankful that i have the means to travel once in a while. tnx for the compliments:)

I love the Suan Lum night bazaar! Oh, and the street food is so delicious and cheap!

yes toe, kaya nga ang sarap magstay dun forever :)

funny we posted something about Thailand almost at the same time. ok, so i'm sure you had nightly foot massages at Suan Lum, right? i lived for it. that and street food. oh, you already know that!

hi purplegirl, isnt it great that we all loved our stay in Thailand ?

I miss Thailand... waaaa.... esp. yummy and spicy food - tom yum, nam tuk moo, khao phat, phad thai, thai noodles, etc. *hungry mode* Shopping there is great too! sigh... I wish I'll be spending my holidays there this year.

Hi Carey, I love Thai food too ;)
