Subic ~ A Private City Within the Moutains
As hubby D puts it, Subic is a private city amidst the lush and well-kept mountainous region of Olongapo. Coming here for an out-of-town adventure is trully worth the 3 hour trip from Makati.
The things I love about Subic :
1. the friendly tourists and helpful locals
2. the monkeys crossing the street, cute and funny
3. the view from Boardwalk at night
4. the clean surroundings and how the people have maintained it
5. everyone follows traffic rules, and they have roaming policemen who are always ready to apprehend violators which I think is very rare
6. the private resort Camayan and the government owned Dungree ; because of these, I'm now sporting a tan and loving it!
7. Ocean Adventure and Zoobic Safari (see related post)
8. Jungle Environment Survival Training Camp
9. The Pamulaklakin Forest Trail and the various picnic areas
10. Subic Extreme Adventure Park (activities include ~ tension traversing, high ladder climbing, canopy sliding and high pole jumping)
11. Go-karting range
12. local "perya" (carnival)
13. various restaurants and fast food chains to choose from; among the famous ones ~ Gerry's Grill, Mc Donald's, KFC, Chowking and Jollibee
14. The Legenda Hotel & Casino facade
15. Slimmer's World (even if I'm not a fitness buff, he he)
16. Jet Skis, Kayaks, Speed Boat, Yacht and Banana Boat
17. monuments along the Boardwalk area
18. Subic Bay Lighthouse
19. crows and exotic birds flying around
